![]() As a member of the WSL Jet Ski rescue unit, when he’s not pulling surfers out of the drink, Quirarte is taking cover photos for Surfer magazine, trying to show the scope of tiny surfers dwarfed by monster waves stacked nearly seven stories high. This is the first year Mavericks is part of the World Surf League’s Big Wave Tour. A former Air Force member who fought in Desert Storm, he likes to say, “you’re definitely going to war when you go into these big-wave sessions.” Quirarte has been both photographing and rescuing Mavericks surfers for the past 21 years at the big wave ?competition near Half Moon Bay. And once the conditions are just right, depending on a confluence of weather, tides and waves - the call is made and everyone has 72 hours to make it to the break and vie for the $130,000 purse. ![]() The competition window is laid out, this year from Jan. The Mavericks Challenge roster is announced in December - this year 24 men and 6 women. It’s inevitable.”īut before we dive into the life-flashing-before-your-eyes underwater wipeout experience, the epic surf photographer casually mentions “just so you know, there’s a swell forming out there right now.” You just have to hope you don’t get hit by these waves. ![]() “It’s literally like being in a dinosaur pen,” says Frank Quirarte, describing the feeling on the water at the annual Mavericks Challenge big wave surf competition.

Unsurprisingly, most of your time in-game is spent in the spaceport on a constant trial-and-error mode trying to build a craft that can do exactly what's required for the mission at hand. Sitting in a tin can, far above the world. If the mission crashes and burns horribly, it is worthwhile as long as you recognize why. Whether you transmit the knowledge using an antenna you attached to your spacecraft or you manage to land safely and the data can be recovered manually, Mission Control receives the experience, shown under a blanket stat of "Science" in-game. All that matters is that the experience is never wasted. ![]() If we can reach space, we can reach our closest planetary neighbor. If the satellite can get up there, maybe an astronaut can. If you get there, then maybe we can put a satellite even further. If you manage to break the world's speed record, you're ready to try reaching the upper atmosphere and recording how the air is up there. You advance simply by being bold enough to try reaching a little higher, making your species' sphere of influence just a little larger with every attempt. Although all your scientists and pilots are little green men, the game is intrinsically human. What KSP values above all is perseverance. As far as I can tell, the game never stops, and an entire solar system waits out there to be explored. But it is most certainly a teacher that wants nothing more than for you to find enlightenment.Īs such, trying to nutshell Kerbal Space Program isn't a matter of straightforward "You win if you get here" goals. Failure is a teacher here, one that challenges you and doesn't compromise by handing you all the answers. Making a mistake never felt like a punishment, as if the game had placed an insurmountable obstacle in front of me and laughed as I flailed wildly at it. ![]() The game surpasses that categorization because of that sense of constant discovery and innovation. But for all the things that feel brain-bending and sciencey, there's still a mild sense of approachability, like the fact that trying to plot a flight path that puts you in orbit with a different planet is essentially a really touchy and precise game of Bop It. For one thing, no matter how serious things get, you're still playing in a world of little green cartoons, which the game never really reconciles with its overwhelming physical realism the further along you go. It doesn't really cover it to say that Kerbal Space Program is a space sim. ![]() ![]() Continue Shopping Category: Inversion Table Tags: an inversion table, back pain, back pain relief, inverion Tables Cape Town, Inversion, inversion method, inversion pain relief, Inversion Table, inversion table 9005, inversion table amazon, inversion table and high blood pressure, inversion table ankle pads, inversion table assembly instructions, inversion table back crack, inversion table back pain, inversion table before bed, inversion table benefits, inversion table cape town, inversion table cape town sales, inversion table commercial, inversion table dimensions, inversion table directions, inversion table diy, inversion table do they work, inversion table ebay, inversion table exercise for height, inversion table exercises, inversion table exercises pdf, inversion table for back pain, inversion table for herniated disc, inversion table for sale, inversion table for sale cape town, inversion table for sale Durban, inversion table for sale Gauteng, inversion table for sale south Africa, inversion table for sciatica, inversion table gif, inversion table good for sciatica, inversion table hang ups, inversion table headache, inversion table height increase, inversion table herniated disc, inversion table herniated disc reddit, inversion table high blood pressure, inversion table hip pain, inversion table how to use, inversion table in store near me, inversion table increase height, inversion table instructions, inversion table makro, inversion table pain relief, Inversion table sale, Inversion Table sales, inversion table South Africa, inversion table stress relief, Inversion Tables, Inversion Tables Durban, inversion tables for sale, inversion Tables Gauteng, inversion Tables johannesburg, Inversion Therapy, Invert, is a inversion table good for sciatica, is a inversion table good for your back, pain relief, Pro star Inversion Table, sales, stress, table d'inversion amazon, the inversion table benefits, the inversion table for back pain, the inversion table sale, will a inversion table help sciatica These prices are for United States customers. You will be pleasantly surprised at how much money you will save by doing it yourself. It can be difficult to find differential oil that is less expensive than regular oil. If you own a Jeep Wrangler, you should change the differential oil on a regular basis. Changing the differential fluid regularly will help to prolong the life of your Wrangler’s differential, and help to keep it running smoothly. Differential fluid ensures that the gears in your Wrangler’s differential are properly lubricated, and helps to protect them from wear and tear. Subsequent 50k changes with good synthetic typically looks a lot better in my experience.Differential fluid should be changed every 30,000 miles to keep your Jeep Wrangler running properly. I've done first time diff fluid changes at 50k and it was pretty nasty. However u want to look at it, you have to do what you're comfortable doing.Īs I said, my fluid looked good but the magnet was full. Perhaps the 30k equates to the standard 3k oil change and 50k to the 6k oil change. ![]() There are some that do every 6k and you even have extremists who follow Amsoil's 25k! My changing it as early as I did equated to that first 1k oil change in my mind. To use your analogy of oil changes, there are some that do their first oil change at 1k miles and then every 3-6k after that. There is plenty of evidence to say this job should be done, but the interval is much more debatable. It also says to replace at 15k under sever service (towing and such). ![]() There is no service interval in the manual other than to inspect. To me this is like changing oil at 3K miles instead of the I just can't see spending the time or money on something that is Is there some documented evidence that this needs to beĭone in lieu of the service intervals in the maintenance manual? Hope this helps the next person! Edited Augby spect2k Also, there are washers on there that should be replaced, although I didn't. Torque Specs: 36.9 lb/ft torque (fill & drain)īoth front and rear fluids looked pretty good at 15k. It may be doable on the ground, but it'd be tough. I don't have a shot of it, but you need to take off a cover to access it. The front diff drain plug is in front of the CVT pan, not behind it (in line with the axle). In the 1st and 2nd picture in my previous post, you can see that the CVT fill plug is very convenient (on the side facing the drivers side of the car)! These are NOT for the front differential. Maybe you could get there another way, but not that I saw.ĭrain plug for the front differential may be confused for the FILL plug for the CVT! (see warning above). To access it, you have to take off the front passenger wheel. In the picture in my previous post, you can see it with the axle in the picture. Do the rear diff yourself and have the dealer do the front.įill plug access is above the passenger side axle. If you don't know what you're doing or you're not 1000% sure, do NOT continue. Some are for the front differential and others are for the CVT! Again, a warning, do NOT open your CVT. There are quite a few 8mm hex fasteners down there. The biggest warning I will give is to be HYPER aware of what you open before you open it. Now that I've done the job, let me give some pointers and specs for everyone doing this job in the future.įirst, since I was probably the first person to do this work, I ended up getting a subscription for the 2015 factory service manual. ![]() You can easily find out what version you have with grep -version.
